What is WebRTC and why is it dangerous?

Web Real-Time Communications - technology allows you to transfer audio and video streaming data between browsers and mobile applications without using a separate server. To connect, browsers must exchange external and local IP addresses.

When using a VPN, your IP address is hidden and WebRTC will not see the real IP address. Only anonymous local is displayed.

However, if you use a regular proxy, WebRTC will determine the real IP address.

РThe real IP address can also be shown when using the Tor network.

If you do not use WebRTC for its intended purpose, we strongly recommend disabling it in your browser.
